Volunteer Testimonials

  • “[Color Your Community Green] provides the opportunity to get together to discuss environmental community issues and to provide input to our town elected leaders and even assist them in making changes that make our town greener, safer, and a better place to live and raise our families.”

Jim Tappon, Color Irondequoit Green Volunteer

  • “I have loved working as a volunteer for the Accelerator — both as a HeatSmart Ambassador and as a tabler. One of the real challenges of climate change for me has been an uncertainty about what I can personally do to help mitigate it. Working with the Accelerator has helped me find an answer to that question… being able to share this knowledge with the Rochester community has been a strong antidote to my climate anxiety.”

Will Gantt, Clean Energy Ambassador and Community Outreach Volunteer

  • “I was happy to be a part of this project…I have learned so much and am now more aware. I’m even thinking of getting an electric vehicle or at least a hybrid”.
